-Dr. Mustafa Kamal
Weeks go by fast, months one by one,
Mother’s Day comes around, it is so fine.
Don’t need a date or time to celebrate my mother,
She lives in my dreams, around her no longer I can gather.
Everything she had she gave me to grow,
Love, affection and warmth that naturally flow.
Don’t you ever leave me mom, I used to say
Find me in the stars, she would say, at the end of the day.
I will wait for you, don’t worry my child
At the Heavens’ gate with God, I don’t mind.
To all the mothers in the world, living or dead,
With respect and admiration, I bow my head.
